Complete the puppy litter registration process with us to ensure your dog meets purebred standards.
For over 60 years, the National Kennel Club has been dedicated to maintaining high purebred standards for all types of dogs across the nation. A key part of our mission is encouraging breeders and dog owners to complete the puppy litter registration process when their pedigree canines have puppies. We strive to make the puppy litter registration process as easy and streamlined as possible, and if both dog parents are already registered with us, getting their puppies registered will be a breeze.
If the parents of the litter have not yet been registered with us, you will need to complete a purebred registration form to confirm that both dogs meet the required standards of their unique breed. Once both parents have received their NKC registration numbers, you’ll be able to complete the puppy litter registration paperwork. The cost to register an entire litter is just $30, but it’s important to complete the process before the puppies reach 1 year of age. After that point, we can no longer accept puppy litter registrations, and you will need to submit separate applications for each dog.
Some people wonder why they should take the time to invest in our organization’s puppy litter registration, and there are a couple key benefits that we’d like to share. First, the puppy litter registration process will include a certificate of ownership for you, and it will ensure your dog’s pedigree remains intact. Secondly, if your litter of puppies is found to meet the standards required by the breed, they’ll be eligible to participate in specialized shows and events. Thirdly, registering your dogs will give you access to their entire family history, which you can trace back throughout the generations.
