General Appearance:
This is a square-proportioned, compact, sturdy dog of medium size
Head:
Head rectangular; Small, almond-shaped eyes; Small, V-shaped ears, folding just above level of skull
Tail:
Carried upright, docked to level of occiput
Color:
Deep tan with black or grizzle jacket
Size:
Weight: male: 35 – 40 lb; female: 30 – 35 lb
Height: male: 18- 19”; female: 17-18”
Gait:
Its gait is free and effortless, with good reach and drive.
Coat:
Its coat is double, with a short, soft undercoat and a hard, dense, wiry outer coat
Temperament:
Mild-mannered, playful and mischievous
