General Appearance: The Stafford is slightly longer than it is tall, and relatively wide, giving it a low center of gravity and firm stance.
Head: Medium-sized round eyes; Distinct stop, short foreface; Head short, deep, broad skull, pronounced cheek muscles; Ears rose or half prick, not large
Tail: Medium length, carried low
Color: Red, fawn, white, black, or blue, solid or with white; any shade of brindle or brindle with white
Gait: Should be powerful and agile
Coat: Smooth, short, and close
Size: Weight: male: 35-40 lb; female: 30–35 lb
Height: male: 18-19”; female 17-18”
Temperament: A fun-loving character that loves playing with its family and friends. It is typically playful, companionable, amiable, docile, and generally responsive to its owners wishes
