Breed Standards for the Otterhound
General Appearance:
A big, strong hound, built for a long day’s work in water, the breed must also be able to gallop on land.
Coat:
A rough, double coat and large feet are essential.
Size:
Its height is 24 – 27 inches and its weight varies greatly but can be anything from 65 – 120 pounds.
Temperament:
This even tempered, amiable breed has a loud, baying call. Owners should ideally be energetic but not house-proud.
