Breed Standards for the Norwich Terrier
The Norwich Terrier is a loveable breed with a tremendously active and hardy constitution.
The mouth is tightlipped, the jaws clean and strong, and the rather large teeth are strong also. The ears on the Norwich are erect and set well apart on top of the skull, and the expressive eyes are small, dark, bright, and keen.
The hard, wiry coat which lies close to the body has a thick undercoat and on the neck forms a ruff, which frames the face.
Red (all shades); wheaten; black/tan; grizzle
Gay and fearless, the standard for both breeds tells enthusiasts that honorable scars from fair wear and tear and not to be unduly penalized.
