Breed Standards for the Ibizan Hound
General Appearance:
The Ibizan should possess a deer-like elegance and expression, and its movement reflects these qualities.
Nose:
Rosy flesh-colored.
Head:
Long, narrow, cone-shaped head with prominent occiput, little-defined stop, small light eyes.
Ears:
Large pointed ears, held erect when alert.
Tail:
Set low and carried in a sickle, ring or saber position.
Coat:
Can be hard, either short or wire, the latter from one to three inches in length.
Color:
White or red, solid or in any combination.
Temperament:
Gentle, mild-mannered, even-tempered, and loyal, and makes a quiet, trust-worthy house pet.
