General Appearance:
Appearing longer legged and more agile than other retrievers
Head:
Tight lips; Head longer than wide, wedge shaped with shallow stop; Rather large, almond-shaped eyes
Tail:
Fairly straight, covered with curls
Color:
Black or liver
Coat:
Made up of a dense mass of tight curls
Size:
Weight: 60-70 lb; Height: male: 25-27”; female: 23-25”
Temperament:
An eager and tireless land and especially, water retriever outdoors, but a calm companion indoors. Sensitive and gentle, very good with children and responsive to commands
