General Appearance:
Compact and square, with a head slightly large for its body
Head:
Abundant dewlap and folds of loose skin around neck; Blue-black tongue and mouth; Small, sunken, almond-shaped eyes; Large head framed with profuse wrindkles; Small, high-set, triangular ears lying flat
Color:
Any solid color including sable
Size:
Weight: 45 – 60 lb; Height: 18-20”
Coat:
Can be either brush (not to exceed 1 inch) or horse (very short) types. It is extremely harsh, straight, and stand off the body.
Gait:
Free with good reach and drive
Temperament:
Self-assured, serious, independent, stubborn, and very much self-possessed
