Breed Standards for the Bull Terrier

General Appearance:

A good looking tough character. Strongly built and muscular, longer than it is tall

Head:

Head long, strong and deep, curving from skull to nose; oval outline viewed face on; Eyes small, triangular, deep set, and placed close together; Ears small, erect, close set

Tail:

Short, carried horizontally

Color:

White variety: white, with markings on head permissible; colored variety: any color other than white, or any color with white markings; brindle preferred

Size:

Weight: male: 55- 65 lb; female: 45 – 55 lb
Height: 21 – 22”

Gait:

Smooth and easy

Coat:

Short, flat and harsh

Temperament:

Exuberant, comical, playful, assertive, and very mischievous
