Breed Standards for the Borzoi

General Appearance:

It retains the greyhound build necessary for running at great speed, but it is larger and stronger than the greyhound

Head:

Soft expression; Inclined to be Roman nosed; Scarcely perceptible stope; Long, narrow head, slightly domed skull; Small, folded ears

Tail:

Long tail, carried low in a graceful curve

Color:

Any

Size:

Weight: male: 75-105 lb; female: 60-85 lb
Height: male: at least 28”; female: at lease 26”

Coat:

The long silky coat can be flat, wavy or rather curly.

Temperament:

It is independent but very sensitive
