General Appearance:
The American Foxhound is slighter of bone and higher on leg than the English Foxhound, with more rear angulation and arch over the loin.
Head:
Stop moderately defined; head fairly long, broad back-skull; fairly low-set, broad ears
Tail:
Carried gaily, but not over the back; slight brush

Size:
Weight is 21 – 24 lb; Height is 22 – 25 in
Temperament:
It is a tolerant, amiable, and gentle dog, even though it is not very demonstrative.
