Breed Standards for the Bearded Collie
General Appearance and Coat:
Its coat is double with a soft, furry undercoat. The outer coat is flat, harsh, and fairly straight; it is sufficient to protect the dog
Head and Neck:
Beard, large, wide-set eyes with soft expression, framed by long eyebrows, broad flat skull
Hind Quarters:
Level top line, low-set tail carried low, with slight upward curve at end
Special Characteristics:
Any shade of gray or chocolate, white may appear as a blaze, or on tail tip, feet and chest, tan points may also occur
Temperament:
Lively and playful, full of enthusiasm and energy
