Breed Standards for the German Longhaired Pointer

General Appearance: Giving an aristocratic appearance, the muzzle and skull are of equal length, the eyes are as dark brown as possible.

Coat: Body hair is light, smooth or slightly wavy with good undercoat.

Color: Brown, various roan colors, and brown with white or roan.

Size: Height is 23.5 – 26 inches, and weight is about 66 pounds.

Temperament: This is primarily a working dog, expected to hunt tirelessly all day. However, the breed also makes a good companion and watchdog.
