General Appearance:

The Whippet is among the sleekest of dogs, with a curvaceous, streamlined silhouette, long legs, and a lean physique

 

 

Head:

Long lean skull with scarcely perceptible stop; Small folded ears

 

 

Tail:

Long tail carried low

 

 

Color:

Immaterial

 

 

Size:

Weight: 20-40 lb; Height:  male: 19-22”; female:  18-21”

 

 

Gait:

Low and free-moving

 

 

Temperament:

Perhaps the most demonstrative and obedient of the true sighthounds, the Whippet makes an ideal pet for people who what a quiet housedog and absolutely devoted companion
