Breed Standards for the Clumber Spaniel

 

 

General Appearance:

A long, low dog, rectangular in shape and with massive bone

 

 

Head:

Well-developed flews; Nose colored any shade of brown; Eyes large, deep-set, diamond shaped; Massive head; Low set ears

 

 

Tail:

Docked and carried near horizontal

 

 

Color:

White do with lemon or orange markings (the fewer the markings on the body, the better)

 

 

Size:

Weight:  male: 70-85 lb;  female: 55-70 lb

Height:   male: 19-20”;  female: 17-29”

 

 

Coat:

Straight, flat, soft, and dense

 

 

Temperament:

Among the most low-keyed and easygoing of sporting breeds
